Verval,(decay), 2011.

The work in question is a trio of busts made out of steel, bronze, brass, and gold,
their scale is 150%. The faces of the statues are made out of two layers,
a rusted steel skull with gold eyes and teeth lies behind the green washed bronze skin.
The state of the skin varies between the statues; one is broken-down and through the bronze skin you see a lot of the skull, whereas another one still is in a good shape, the third stands in the middle. The first statue wears a costume with a tie, the second, workers clothing and the third a nazi uniform.

The work is about the fall of the three biggest ideologies of the 20th century, Capitalism, Communism and Fascism and their state is being represented by the decomposition of their faces, making them look like B-movie Zombies, which is in struggle with what they represent and their stateliness.

The work is to be seen from a western perspective, we look at fascism and communism as if they don't count anymore, while we too, are also part of a sinking ship, and representing our ideology next to the other ones makes it more inevitable.
